Peter Higson

Chair

I grew up and still live in North Wales. After completing a first degree and then a PhD at Bangor University, I spent the next 25 years of my working life in the NHS as a Psychologist and then as a manager.

I then became the first Chief Executive of Healthcare Inspectorate Wales in 2004 and continued in this role until I retired at the end of 2012. I carried on working in retirement and, as well as becoming a Trustee, I was appointed as the Chair of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales in 2013.

I have long admired the work that Cartrefi Cymru does and I am passionate about assisting people to realise their full potential in life.
