David Wilton

Community Supporter

I work in social housing as Chief Executive of TPAS Cymru. Our mission is to improve the voice of tenants in influencing and shaping Welsh housing and the communities they serve. I sit on a number of Welsh Government Committees to represent people who rent their home.

I live in Penarth with my wife Sian and son Bryn and my hobbies inc cycling, walking and making community videos.

I believe in building stronger communities, and I volunteer with a number of community projects including my local park, Scouts and local events. I am Chair of Governors at Ysgol Gymraeg Pen Y Garth.

I have a passion for digital as an community engagement tool and I’m fascinated as to how technology can be used to support greater accessibility of our communities and society for all.

I strongly support Cartrefi Cymru in its co-operative journey as it seeks to become something special, that can show the way for how services and support can be delivered in Wales. I feel I can support the Council with external ideas and scrutinise the Board as an independent.
