June Stacey

Community Supporter

I joined Cartrefi Cymru as an area manager in 2017.  Prior to that I managed a community-based project for individuals with a learning disability.  I am passionate about people working together to support people to live their best lives.

With co-operative working being one of the five principles of the Wellbeing Act (Wales), I believe that all we do is underpinned by legislation.  As a co-operative, Cartrefi Cymru are leading the way in good practice.

I moved on from Cartrefi at the end of 2019 to work as a lecturer in health and social care.  My desire is to prepare a new generation of trained, skilled and compassionate health and social care sector workers.  It was important to me to continue my support of Cartrefi Cymru and it's values by being a community member of the Co-operative.
