Mici Plwm

Community Supporter

I am fluent in Welsh and English, and over the years have led and worked on a wide range of projects in society; These range from Age Cymru Gwynedd and Môn to the North West Wales Area Manager ONS Census 2011 (Counties of Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy).

I have been self-employed for many years, organizing and promoting numerous events, conferences for agencies: such as Prime Cymru 50+, Careers Wales, Enterprise and Business, press and media, producer and presenter of various TV and Radio series, and a weekly columnist in Y Caernarfon and Denbigh Herald and the Daily Post.

As the Development Officer and Center and Volunteer Co-ordinator (Age Cymru Gwynedd a Mon) my main responsibilities were to recruit, train, and find suitable locations for establishing Age Well Centers across Gwynedd. The target group was any person over 50; some are unemployed, and some see benefits in volunteering as a route back into employment.

I have extensive experience of delivering informative presentations about the work of different agencies in the community and being a spokesperson for the organization, presenting information for their website or social media, and using these skills and experiences here. be able to promote good practice.

In 2017 I was appointed as a Member of the North Wales Community Health Council by the Welsh Government. I have been a member of Pwllheli Town Council for over seven years, and this year it is a privilege to have been elected as Deputy Mayor of the Town Council.
