Supported by Cartrefi

I volunteer as a receptionist on a Monday at Canolfan Byron and also volunteer at the local Tenovus Charity shop in Llangefni on Ynys Môn, North Wales.

I have been supported by Cartrefi Cymru for over four years – I really like living in Bodffordd. I live with my good friend Diana. My mum and other family members live close to me. I love going to visit them often and going on holidays with them regularly.

Since being on the Council of Members, I have met another old friend called Sam. She is also on the Counci of Members and lives in South Wales. We both have done this kind of work before with People First Wales between 1980 until 1990. We were on the executive committee and used to meet often in Brecon. I have good computer skills and enjoy using my tablet to read my emails and find information online.

My hobbies include knitting, and I organise a weekly knitting get together at an Extra Care Service in Bangor. I used to organise in the office, but not many were able to attend. Since moving to the service, a lot more people attend and I’ve made new friends with fellow knitters. I enjoy going to play bingo and doing word searches.

I also like every kind of craftwork. I like going to parties, especially themed parties.
